The Design
The golf course itself was designed by the world famous North American landscape architect, Cabell B. Robinson. He has designed golf courses all over North Africa and of course Europe including in Spain, France, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Cyprus and Morocco. Just a few famous golf courses he has designed include Royal Golf d’Evian in France, Finca Cortesín on Costa del Sol and La Reserva in Sotogrande to name a few.
Robinson has always been committed to protecting the environment. He claims that when designing any course his main goal is to ensure that it fits in perfectly with the surrounding landscape. He himself stated that golf course architecture is an art form in itself.
Las Colinas has been built in a 330 hectare valley and fits in with the surrounding area perfectly. It feels as though the course extends all the way to the horizon. You feel isolated from the rest of the world for the length of your visit.
