An Introduction to Las Colinas Golf & Country Club
Las Colinas Golf & Country Club is located on the sunny Costa Blanca just a few minutes inland from the coast itself. It is a large resort set in a beautiful 330 hectare valley. It is of course popular and well known due to its 18 hole championship golf course, voted the 17th best golf course in the world. The resort has also won awards for its available properties including ‘Leading Villa Resort in Spain’ and ‘Europe’s Leading Villa Resort’. However the resort has much more to offer which we will discuss in detail below.
Las Colinas Sports and Health Club
Located next to the Clubhouse you will find the new Las Colinas Sports and Health Club equipped with a state of the art gym, a swimming pool and a wellness area.
The gym has spectacular views of the surrounding countryside to lose yourself in as you workout. In terms of machines, the gym offers all the cardio and muscle building equipment needed for both fitness and strength training. Entry fees to the gym include a small towel for use during workouts as well as an individual locker and bathroom towels should they be required. There is a personal training service on offer here should you wish to have a personalised training plan created for you to help achieve your fitness goals.
The Sports and Health Club includes a Racquet Club which is located just a few minutes away from the Clubhouse close to the resort’s entrance and offers open air sports facilities. There are a total of three tennis courts and two paddle tennis courts here. You can also play a variety of other sports including basketball and football.
Moving on to the swimming pool, it is a large 250m2 ideal for exercise or a leisurely dip and a day in the sun. Why not cool off after a difficult workout in the gym. Pool access includes the use of a towel and sunbeds are available to hire subject to availability on the day. You will also find a food truck here offering a selection of dishes so that you can enjoy a day relaxing in the sun without leaving for lunch.
The wellness area is the perfect place to relax and offers a range of services aimed at strengthening your emotional and physical wellbeing using the latest technologies. Physiotherapy is available whether to treat a sports injury, help avoid sports injuries or to improve your general performance and physical wellbeing. The wellness area also offers body and treatment therapy services including sports massages, exfoliating massages and of course purely relaxing massages. Finally, the wellness area offers a wide range of beauty services and treatments including manicures, facials, hair removal, lash and brow, tinting, makeup and more.
Tennis and Padel Academy
Located at the Raquet Club discussed above is the Adriano Tavelli’s Tennis and Padel Academy. Aimed specifically at children and teenagers it offers both group and private lessons for those aged between 5 and 18. There are a variety of programmes on offer to suit all abilities, from beginner to advanced.
Beach Club
Moving away from exercise to pure luxury and relaxation, just a few minutes drive from the main Las Colinas Resort is the Las Colinas Beach Club. Located on the seafront at the beautiful La Glea beach in Campoamor, this private haven is the perfect place to enjoy the sun and the sea. Enjoy a dip and a swim in the stunning infinity pool or just relax on a sunbed with a cocktail. There is a bar and restaurant where you can enjoy a meal or just a drink on the terrace overlooking the stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. You will feel so relaxed at the Las Colinas Beach Club you won’t ever want to leave.
A table at the restaurant can only be guaranteed if you book in advance. It is also a good idea to book your sunbed in advance to avoid disappointment.
Dining
You will find three different restaurants in and around the Clubhouse; Umawa, il Palco and Unik offering a variety of cuisines. If you’re too tired after a day of golf don’t worry as takeaway is available too!
Umawa is located in the Clubhouse and aims to take you on a journey of flavour fusing Nikkei (Japanese-Peruvian) cuisine with local Mediterranean produce. On the menu you will find a selection of fish dishes including caviar, octopus, salmon, prawns, sea bass, crab and more.
Il Palco is an Italian restaurant and is located near the Clubhouse. The head chef, Fabio Morisi designed the menu himself with the aim of bringing authentic Italian recipes full of flavor to please all palates. The restaurant itself has been decorated by Pepe Leal, an internationally recognised Spanish interior designer. The restaurant boasts a large outside terrace area with stunning views of the beautiful countryside.
Unik is located in the Clubhouse with a menu designed to offer something to satisfy the tastes of all international visitors and residents. The menu creatively reinvents simple and classic dishes. There is a dish for everyone such as burgers, rice dishes, fish, steaks, salads, chicken, tacos, pizza and more. The restaurant itself has also been decorated by Pepe Leal.
To avoid disappointment it is recommended that you book a table in advance for all three restaurants as a table cannot be guaranteed otherwise.
Events and Celebrations
If you are looking for a venue for an event then look no further. Las Colinas Golf & Country Club has several venues on offer for every occasion. If you are looking to hold an event over several days then Las Colinas Residences have 2, 3 and 4 bedroom villas or apartments available. Below are the different venues available to hire.
Il Paco – Il Paco is an Italian restaurant located near the Clubhouse and can host most events including weddings, christenings, conferences, birthday parties and so on.
L’Orangerie – Multi-purpose function rooms designed especially for events and celebrations, L’Orangerie is located surrounded by orange and lemon groves. With large windows the venue has beautiful views of the natural surroundings offering plenty of natural light and also privacy. There are two large function rooms perfect for work meetings or conferences, product presentations, anniversaries, birthdays and so on.
The Clubhouse – The Clubhouse is a Mediterranean style building with beautiful views from its terrace overlooking a picturesque lake and is the perfect venue for a variety of events. The Clubhouse is home to Unik which has a private dining room to hire for functions.
Las Colinas Beach Club – The Beach Club overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and offers a feeling of luxury, tranquillity and exclusivity, perfect for celebrating corporate or group events.
Other
There is a mini market near the Clubhouse for convenience selling all the everyday products you need including food, cleaning supplies and hygiene products.
Las Colinas Golf & Country Club offer discounted prices to its residents and owners for several experience days including diving, hot air balloon rides, flying experiences, yachting and more.
